The Humility Of Love

July 12, 2017 Speaker: Art Azurdia Series: The Most Excellent Way

Topic: Love Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:4

Pastor Art Azurdia preaching "Title", part five of the series titled, "The Most Excellent Way" from the thirteenth chapter of 1 Corinthians.

We learn in this text three of eight negatively stated traits the loving Christian refrains from—envy, boasting, and pride. Envy is to boil with jealousy toward what someone else has that you don't have. Boasting is the verbal manifestation of pride. Pride is a hidden ugliness, the quintessential sin of the heart. In order to expose these sins in your life and develop a loving heart you must let the word of God inform who you are, then let Jesus Christ silence your self-importance.
