Self-Denying Faith (Part 1)

November 6, 2016 Speaker: Art Azurdia Series: The Animation Principle

Topic: Faith Verse: Hebrews 11:24–11:26

Pastor Art Azurdia preaching part 12 of "The Animation Principle" from Hebrews 11:24-26 on "Self-Denying Faith."

In this text we see that Moses acting on the basis of faith chose to identify with God's people and regard future rewards as more valuable than present wealth—moreover, he identified with the reproach of Christ. This should cause us to ask how much of our attention is really and truly given to eternal life and all that it means. A self-denying faith is the consequence of a consistently intentional effort to calculate the merits of eternal life over and against the conveniences of this world, because only to the extent that your faith is fixed upon the blessing of future reward can you possess a faith that can choose a life of self denial.
