The Fall...For All...To See (Part 4)
Topic: Community Verse: Ecclesiastes 4:7–4:12
Pastor Art Azurdia preaching the eleventh part of the series, "In Search Of Meaning" from Ecclesiastes 4:7-12.
We continue answering the question, "What are the signs that conspicuously reveal the nature of fallen human culture?" In this text it is the "isolation of ambition." Solomon describes a person who is all alone because they never stop working, their appetite for money is insatiable. They have no need for community because their affluence is a constant acquisition rather than what it should be, a gift given by God. Solomon closes this section touting the virtues of community to provide mutual encouragement and support in times of need and to provide safety in numbers. Christians are of all people blessed to have the greatest community in a fallen world--the church. We never have to be alone and have an accommodation of a spirit-filled community in the church.
